Skinny Moscow Mule
I think a lot of people don’t put enough thought into the amount of sugar a cocktail can have. A good Moscow Mule, or our Mexico City Mule is one of my favorite quick and refreshing cocktails, but have you ever seen the amount of sugar in a ginger beer? That got us thinking about how we can cut out the sugar but still have a refreshingly spicy cocktail, most specifically in a mule mug! We were playing with our ginger spice honey simple syrup recipe already and had an epiphany…what about using the ginger honey syrup to sweeten a sparkling water (with vodka and lime juice, of course!)? We love this cocktail so much that we put the recipe right on our bottle label so you can easily make it at home. We hope you love it as much as we do, it’s become a staple in our house and it’s an easy drink to pour for friends at a last minute gathering. Enjoy!
-1.5 oz Vodka
-1/2 oz Fresh Lime Juice
-2 oz Sparkling Water
-Lime Wedge for Garnish
Add ingredients to a Moscow Mule mug over ice, stir and serve!
Spicy Bee's Knees
The Bee's Knees cocktail has been around since the 1920's...crazy, huh? To think my great-grandparents could have been drinking a version of this during the prohibition era! We decided to make this with a spicy twist and I must say it makes the gin more palatable and pleasant. Our honey syrup mixes so well with the gin, fresh lemon and fresh orange juices and the ginger flavor brings a modern taste to this old-time classic!
-3 Tbsp Hudson & Lee Honey Ginger Syrup
-1 Tbsp Fresh Lemon Juice
-1 Tbsp Fresh Orange Juice
-2 oz Gin
-Lemon Twist for Garnish
Add ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice, shake for 30 seconds. Pour in a glass over ice and serve with lemon twist garnish. Enjoy!
Caribbean Spiced Sangria
Sangria is such a perfect anytime drink, and this spiced Sangria is rising to the anytime occasion in a BIG way! The spice of the ginger and red wine mixed with the tart of lime juice and the sweetness of honey, truly melts the day away. We envision pirates must have had something similar on hand, hence the Caribbean name. This easy cocktail can be paired with a meal, served with appetizers or sipped on its own, we're not picky...
So, sit back and dream Caribbean dreams with this kicked up Sangria!
-1 oz Red Wine
-1 oz Light Rum
-3/4 oz Fresh Lime Juice
-Lime Wheel for Garnish
Add ingredients to a cocktail shaker, shake for 30 seconds. Pour in glass over ice and serve with lime wedge garnish.
GINGER RUM PUNCH
Fall is here and Apple Ginger Cider Rum Punch is knocking! We love a good traditional Cider Rum Punch but we decided to give ours a spicy kick by adding ginger juice. Ginger spice gives this drink the perfect warmth you need for those cool Fall nights. The thyme sprig pairs perfectly with the apple, honey and ginger flavors. What are you waiting for...go make this, grab your favorite Fall blanket and Enjoy!
