Honey Mint Julep
So, I have a confession to make...the amateur gardener I am has mint growing ALL over my yard! I was told to keep my mint growing in a pot, as it's very evasive and will take over your garden. Well, I didn't listen (because I'm a rebel at heart) and planted it right in my garden. Well, guess what? It took over and now we're going to have mint at our house long after we're specks of dust because as much as you rip it out, it always grows back. That's ok....if you have mint, make mint juleps!! And if you have Hudson & Lee honey simple syrup, make honey mint juleps! Just wait until you try these, my southern self can't get enough!!
How to make it - serves 1
- 12 Mint Leaves
- 2 Tbsp. of Hudson & Lee Honey Simple Syrup (or 3 Tbsp. if you're weak, like me!!)
- 2 oz (or 2 shots) of Bourbon
- Crushed Ice
Cover the bottom of an old fashioned glass with mint leaves, add the honey simple syrup and muddle well. Fill glass with crushed ice, add bourbon, stir and drink!
